MDL to UML2 -> is this possible? [message #376851] Wed, 14 February 2007 16:21 Go to next message

Hello,

I create tool to design workflows. As description of data I use Ecore
metamodel created from MDL.

I want in near future expand tool to give user possibility of modifying
data model (only add fields, new types). I think about UML2Tools to this
but I have some questions:

- is it possible to import MDL as source of uml2 model like in Ecore?
- do you plan to support any transformation/synchronization mechanism
between Ecore and Uml2?

Sorry for my bad English ;)

Grzegorz,

This is really a question for the eclipse.modeling.mdt.uml2 newsgroup.

Once you have an Ecore (and generator) model created from your Rose model,
you can export it to UML2 via the 'Export Model...' context menu item for
the generator model (in the Package Explorer).
