Hi,
the new theming in M5 is really cool.
However, wouldn't it be nice to have enhanced theming for buttons as well?
I think about different images for active, pressed, over and active as
it is possible to set these states for buttons in 'DefaultAppearance.js'.

This seems to be working for the buttons in Shell widgets but not for
common button widgets.

Regards

Oliver

Thanks, nice that you like it :)

The problem with simple background images is that they almost always
depend on the button size, which is variable in SWT. And tiled
background images would surely look worse than a gray plate.
However, we also think about ways to improve the appearance of buttons
and I think we will provide means to set images on buttons as well.

Yes, for shell buttons it's easy, as they do not change their size.

Ralf
