Hi Volker,
Drap and drop is already supported, but only between other apps or
widget (for example, DND is used in sharemedia
http://www.sf.net/projects/sharemedia to copy items between libraries
and to create albums), but you cannot reorder a gallery by drag and drop
yet.
About the zoom on mouseover, I already thought of something like what
you can see on the current Cartier web site when you browse collections
(cartier.com) : the item under the mouse gets bigger and other items get
smaller. But no work has been done on this ATM.
I still need to write some documentation about the gallery widget,
especially about the group and item renderers. Basically, layout and
drawing and custom mouse handling are done by them, and the gallery
widget doesn't need to be modified to add features such as zoom. The
only thing to do is to write a new renderer.
You can add feature requests for zoom and dnd reordering on bugzilla if
you want to.
Thanks for your feedback.
