Hi,

I am downloading some executable jar using eclipse update manager
mechanism.
I want to know is it possible to run the same downloaded jar, using update
manager? if yes pls. let me know.

I believe you could use install handlers in Update Manager to do this for
eclipse before p2 was introduced. However, in initial p2 introduction
(e.g. eclipse 3.4), install handlers were not implemented. I am waiting
for them, also. See http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/p2/Plan for the
schedule.
