Hi out there,

I would love to explore the Data Tools Platform (dtp) for database
management (oracle 10g) in connection with my PDT platform. I use other
applications like Toad or SQL Developer that do their job very well but
with dtp I can't establish a connection at all.

I get several java null-pointer exceptions and stuff while trying to
ping or connect my server. I tried serveral syntax possibilities but now
got completely overwhelmed with all these crypted error messages.

Why is not even the basic connection via "name@server:port" working?

Can anybody tell me where to find help on this subject? Is this the
right place or is there a different place to go?
