how to create a badge on top of a notification menu [message #1874434]

Hello,
I created a menu on the Desktop where I display the notifications on the system.
I would like to create a badge on top of the menu that display the number of unread notifications.
The menue is a AbstractFormMenu<NotificationForm>

I do not know how to add a div to the menu to display the badge.

Any other suggestions ?
