Hi.
I had eclipse-java-2023-09-R-win32-x86_64 and since then it updated itself two or three times. Now it identifies itself as "2024-09". It never asked me if I want to update. Where's this option?

The Preferences -> Installer/Update -> Automatic Updates have preferences related to this, but all will prompt you.
If you installed a "latest' version via the installer, that version updates over time and you will have been prompted at some point in the past on startup if you wanted to update to the new available version and what you wanted to do in the future. Your choice at that time is stored as a preference and is available under Preferences -> Oomph -> Setup Tasks -> Install requirements on startup - here you can choose Prompt (the default), Always, or Never.

Strange, "Install requirements on startup" is "Prompt".
The last time it installed the updates not at startup, but while I was actively using Eclipse (it was open for weeks). I noticed that because I suddenly began getting "java.sql.Date cannot be resolved to a type" errors. When I closed and restarted Eclipse I saw the new splash screen and the error was gone.
No, I didn't use installer. I just unpacked eclipse-java-2023-09-R-win32-x86_64.zip and I still have it in my Downloads folder.
