after creating the project and importing the my sql connector and writing the files, the error code on the libraries defines them as not accessible

Unless you were planning to use modules and a modular JDK, try deleting that package-info.java file. For anything more than that, you'll need to be a lot more explicit about the steps to reproduce the problem.
