Java 20 Support for Eclipse [message #1858197] Wed, 22 March 2023 05:44 Go to next message

Hello all,

I was planning to go upgrade to openjdk-20, but I did not find "Java 20 Support for Eclipse" plugin.

Usually there is a one that comes with new releases.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks for any response.

AFAIK the timeline is roughly as follows:
- the Eclipse IDE is released (e.g. 2023-03 in this case)
- the new Java version is released
- the branch with the support for the new Java version is merged into JDT
- the patch becomes available

The branch hasn't been merged yet. I suppose the patch will become available in the next few days. Someone from the JDT will know more about the exact timing.
