Hi

In Hana development tools perspective\repository and e.g. a stored procedure. When editing that (SQLScript), my eclipse crashes when copy/pasting. Even when the source is text within the procedure itself.

My colleague also on Eclipse 2022-09 has the exact same challenge on his PC, and we have tried reinstalling eclipse, creating an entire new workspace, and to no avail. Note we cannot yet update to 2022-12 due to lack of compatibility.

Other colleagues on an old HANA Studio version do not have the issue. They can follow the exact same steps and have no challenges.

I have attached the log file from my workspace/.metadata in case that helps. We sincerely hope to find a friendly soul here. Thanks!

This forum is for questions on Java Development Toolit. That said, do you see this problem only when editing SQL scripts? Or does it happen with any other editor as well? Sorry, I have not used HANA studio. So, don't know what could be wrong. The exception is a very generic one, and could possibly mean something wrong with the com.sap.ndb.studio.view.ui.uv.UVToolbar. I would suggest to check with the owners of that code first.

Hi, thanks.

I do not have the challenge if I simply use the SQL Console to run queries towards a system.

The challenge only arises when editing a Repository (Stored Procedure) object, and then COPY/PASTING. While editing, the tab is named 'SQLScript', which I assume is the default editor.

I do not use other editors. I hope this helps you.

Edit: We have raised a ticket in our corporate system towards SAP, pointing to your hint. We would however still appreciate if you had any other clues to what might be the challenge here.

Hi Henrik,
we are experiencing the exact same behavior. Do you have an update from SAP support? Is there a bug with the version?
Strange thing is, it was working beofre.
Best
Niclas
