How to mention software tool (MS Excel, SAP etc.) in an activity during process mapping [message #1857486] Thu, 09 February 2023 22:58 Go to next message

Hi everyone,
I have a question about process mapping (BPMN 2.0). In my project, there are four activities where the task is done with one or more softwares. I have drawn a demo process flow. I have confusion about software mentioning in the activity. Is there a specific way to mention the software tool? or We can simply mention the tool with the activity without adding an image of the tool?

Regards,
Ekram

Hi Ekram,
to visualize this aspect, you can add a text annotation element to name and describe the software system. You can associate a text annotation with any element in your diagram.
Or you simply add this information into the element documentation. But in this case is will not be visualized in the diagram.

Did this answer your question?
