emx file conforming both to UML profile and UML metamodel [message #1856680] |

Hi,
Is it possible for a emx file to conform both to a UML profile (epx extension) and the UML metamodel (score extension)? Because the emx model contains concepts that are present in the profile but not in the UML metamodel, and concepts that are present in the UML metamodel, but not in the profile.
Thanks!

Hi,
Questions about EMX files should probably usually be asked on a forum dedicated to the IBM software that implements it.
However, IIRC, the file will contain the XMI representations of objects that are instantiated from classes in both the profile and the UML metamodel,, so in that sense it "conforms to" both. It could hardly do otherwise, but probably I have not entirely understood the question.
HTH,
Christian
