EPX file to Ecore file [message #1856658] Wed, 21 December 2022 08:28 Go to next message

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to transform a UML profile with the epx extension to an Ecore metamodel. Is there something out of the box, or do I need to write some sort of transformation?

Thanks!

The idea is to also then use it in model transformations

Hi

Neither emx nor epx are supported extensions for the Eclipse UML2 project, however if they are respectable XMI files with metamodels you should be able to use QVTo to transform them

"respectable". Whether or not a model can be loaded by the Sample Ecore Editor is usually a good test of vaiable content for EMF-based tools.
