Typing new includes into a file and then using classes/functions/etc. declared in it produces "ghost" Codan errors. They hang until next C/C++ indexing; usually it happens on file‑save. That has always been so.
But some days ago, after updating Eclipse to 2022-09, I may have seen Codan highlight that depends on includes' contents updating in real‑time. But I can't be sure, since I wasn't particularly thinking about it then. I can't reproduce it, and Google points to something like one statement of 2011 saying it's impossible. I'd very much appreciate if I could be sure of whether I've just imagined it or it is in fact possible, as this uncertainty disturbs me much. And how to make it work that way again, of course.
And if it is impossible, then how does the highlight consider tokens from the same file in real‑time?
