Activity Diagram/Swim lanes [message #1853693] Wed, 13 July 2022 14:10 Go to next message

I am new to Papyrus, and I'm using SysML 1.6. I am used to using swim lanes in activity diagrams, and I cannot seam to find them anywhere. I have also noticed that the control flow arrows do not want to connect to activities. Coming from both Cameo and Rhapsody, these items were quite easily done. I have seen the other forums about the swim lanes, but these do not seem to work in my case or for SysML 1.6. I would appreciate the advice.

Hi Jaren,
technically a swim lane is a uml:ActivityPartition supported by Papyrus. Although uml: ActivityPartition is not in the off the shelf palette. So you have to create it via new child menu within the model explorer.

And could you explain how to do that? I go to create a new child in the Model Explorer, but I cannot find the option for a partition. Much appreciated.

Creating an activity diagram by magic creates an activity. Within the activity you can create activity partitions.
