I am using Eclipse Version: 4.3.1
to generate BIRT report against Maximo Asset system.
I just installed Eclipse, and have not gotten the Web Viewer to ever work.
I've seen some similar posts to this but not had positive resolutions.
I tried installing java7 jdk1.7.0_80 and in the Eclipse short cut properties target field have :
C:\cmills\Eclipse\eclipse-reporting-32bit\eclipse\eclipse.exe -vm "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_80\bin\javaw.exe"
but I get a error that it could not start java virtual machine.
I also tried to edit the eclipse.ini file and added
-vm "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_80\bin\javaw.exe"
and while Eclipse starts up, when I go to the Help, Installation Details, Configuration tab it shows
eclipse.vm=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_311\bin\client\jvm.dll
eclipse.vmargs=-Xms40m
-Xmx384m
-vm C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_80\bin\javaw.exe
and
java.runtime.version=1.8.0_311-b11
so I can't seem to get it to start with Java 7.
I've seen about installing the BIRT Viewer, but I think that appears to be a server side change, and I don't have access to that. Trying to resolve this will just changes to my environment, and not get systems involved.
Thanks.
