Allow user to dynamically select report's columns [message #1845036]

I want to add an option for the user when creating the report to select the columns that the report will show. See the attached image below on how it is suppose to look.
(in the form UI, it should be a multi-select dropdown, or maybe checkboxes, one for each column from dataset).

I am a new user, so I cannot attach an image. You can check this link:

Is there a way to do that?
If no, what are some options to achieve similar functionality?
