Hi
The Papyrus team is in the process of continuing to improve the stability of the tool and prepare for its future:
- we are working on reducing the dead code generated for the management of diagrams
- we are working to assist the papyrus customizers by making it possible to validate not the only customization models but also the customization plugins configuration.
For that we are implementing develop a builder for Papyrus nature type plug-ins projects of the. This builder is optional and can be disconnected.
Its purpose is to validate:
- direct or indirect dependencies (a model can depend on another model)
- build files
- extension points
- the customization models
For now we are applying this for plugins containing profiles and elementTypes.
Other types of plug-ins will be managed in the future. have to follow.

Thanks for the information.

Summaries of planned work for future editions have previously been published on a specific website for each edition.
The latest was: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Papyrus/2020.12_Work_Description.
No page was published for release 2021.03 and I can not find anything for 2021.06 either.
Will you continue to publish a summary of planned work for future releases on the same type of pages or can I find the summaries elsewhere?

/Thomas

Hi

A nature seems like a good idea, but you risk duplicating some of the work done by the OCL nature that can perform the validation that should be provided by the missing Ecore and UML2 natures.

You might like to look at the OCL nature to see whether you want to structure the Papyrus nature to be orthogonal or as an extension possibly activating the OCL nature by default to perform the underlying UML2 validation.
