Hello
I have two weird behaviours on glassfish. on my job we have several glassfish on several virtual machines. And all have the same issue:

Very often, if we start the server on centos7 or centos6 using whatever systemd c7 or init.d c6 , it keeps saying "starting glassfish" forever with ........................ continuously. But, the glassfish starts like 10 seconds after the commande start is launched. So it means the service does not understand glassfish is already running.

And it's the same thing if i want to stop it: very often, a systemctl or init.d asking to stop it says "glassfish isn't running"
But using command ps i can see it and makes me kill the process which i don't want to :(

Is it a common issue on glassfish and what's the way to make it work properly?
Is it a pidfile issue? or something else?

How was glassfish installed? If it was done using RPMs, you'd probably want to talk to the distribution packagers.

actually i have no idea. i am on this company since 2 years and glassfish is at least 4 years old here

actually i am looking on finding the reason why service does not find out correctly the true status of glassfish
