if a node label expression is set to feature:someFeature, could Sirious allow an automatic direct label edit to just update the feature?

Hi Felix,

This is an idea of improvement. But currently you have to explicitly add a "Direct Edit Label" tool with the corresponding "set operation". For example:
index.php/fa/39846/0/

On another side, if an automatic "direct edit" was available, its deactivation should be possible for users who do not want to offer direct editing.

If you don't want the feature, just use a DirectEditLabel tool that does nothing :) The opt in/out mechanics is more work than the actual thing... :(
