I was developing in Java on Eclipse 2020-06 and decided to run updates, which installed Eclipse 2020-09 and restarted. I chose a new workspace. When I opened preferences, there was no longer a Java section. The only Java search result was in OOMPH:

The Java New Project wizard is gone. I even looked under Other.

The installation details still show Eclipse IDE for Java Developers and Eclipse Java Development Tools:

I'm running on Windows 10.

How do I reenable Java support?

Thanks!

Are you running Eclipse using Java 11 or newer? If not, do so.

Thanks for your reply. As shown, I have 4 JREs installed, one of which is Java 15.

Someone helped me on Stack Overflow: my eclipse.ini file needed a -vm argument in eclipse.ini.
