When I try to open a BIRT .rptdesign file and I double-click on the report name under Eclipse Project Explorer, I am seeing a prompt stating "The project description file (.project) ... is missing."

Is there a way to open .rptdesign files without having the .project file?

Is this like a source that I need to obtain from the author of the report in order to modify it?

Thanks,

David

Hello David,

You can open a .rptdesign-file directly on the eclipse environment with the option "open file".
On this way an project file isn't necessary.

Kind regards
Thomas
