Hi!
I develop some plugins in Eclipse RCP for Eclipse CDT. To deploy them, I copy the plugins into the plugins directory before starting Eclipse CDT. It works for Eclipse CDT versions 2019-12-R, 2020-03-R, 2020-06-M1, M2, M3 and RC1 but not for 2020-06-R. There is no information inside workspace/.metadatas/.log. My sources work as Eclipse Application in debug mode in Eclipse RCP-2020-06-RC1 and RCP-2020-06-R (with CDT plugins).

Could someone explain what is mainly differentiating the RC and R versions and especially how the plugins are loaded. Do you have suggestions how I can resolve this problem? Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks.

You should either put them in the dropins folder instead, or build a proper Update Site so the end-user can do an installation of them.

Using the dropins folder doesn't make unfortunately any difference, I have exactly the same result when using the plugins folder.
Use of an Update Site was a good idea: this method works with a local archive.
So, this permits to me to identified the problem: I don't know if it's a mistake or a choice but the plugin org.apache.log4j is present in all Eclipse CDT releases except 2020-06-R.

Thanks for you help !
