Can I drag a element from a view and drop it in DDiagramEditor to create a new EObject ? [message #1829790] Fri, 10 July 2020 11:09 Go to next message

I created a view and show some elements in it.
I plan to drag a element from my view and dropt it in DDiagramEditor to create a new EObject and show it.
I tried some methods from google search result, but all failed.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Thanks a lot!

I had a similar use case where I have an external view displaying EObjects that don't belong to any EResource (or to an EResource that is not part of the Sirius session) [1].

If that's also your case I'm afraid there aren't any solution yet. I started to work on the issue about a year ago [2] but have then been hooked by other tasks and still haven't had the time to complete it yet.
