Dear Member,
I downloaded the Eclipse Installer.
"Start the Installer once it is available." How do I do so in Linux Debian?
Best regards.

For me on Ubuntu it offers to open the *.tar.gz in the archive manager. Then I can copy/extract the eclipse-installer folder somewhere on disk and that folder contains the eclipse-inst executable that I can run.

You can also extract the saved *.tar.gz's contents as described here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/651018/opening-a-tar-gz-file-with-a-single-command

And then run the eclipse-inst executable in the eclipse-installer folder.
