Does Ecore also feature, say, sequence and activity diagrams? [message #1815907] Mon, 14 October 2019 23:59 Go to next message

Hi there!

I'm a beginner in Eclipse tools. I'd like to start building Ecore data models instead of UML ones. As far as I know, Ecore features class diagrams just as UML. However, does Ecore also feature, say, sequence and activity diagrams (or something equivalent to what's offered by UML)?

Thank you for your attention.

Regards,

Clever.

Hi Clever,

No, Ecore does not feature such diagrams.
Providing some justification for this: Seq and Activity diagrams are representations of underlying models. Ecore handles the definition of the underlying models, but not the representation.

Avi
