debian 10
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_212-b10)
fresh install of eclipse 2019-09 R (4.13.0). No projects.

all working fine then install subclipse from marketplace, on restart eclipse UI hangs.

No response to clicks, cursor does not change, nothing on stderr or stdout.
No runaway processes.

deleted everything, re-installed from scratch, same result. behavior is repeatable.
