Kura WatchDog [message #1815364] Tue, 01 October 2019 08:55 Go to next message

Hi guys, i tried the kura watchdog to check if after a number of connection attempts to the broker, the watchdog restarted the gateway. In fact this mechanism works. I wanted to know if the watchdog could work in the following case: the kura process remains active in the system but it is faked (the log no longer grows and does not publish and does not perform any functionality). In your opinion, in this case, using the watchdog, can I see that kura needs to be restarted? Or, given that the kura service remains apparently active, does the watchdog not notice anything?

If the process registers itself in the watchdog and stops pinging it, the system will be rebooted

Thank you. In order for the watchdog to work with my component I have to implement in the component the CriticalComponent interface right?
