Hello,

Is it possible for P2 director to create an installation with a user-specified executable name?

I see there is no option to define the executable name on command line, so I was wondering what determines the name?

Currently I run P2 director from the "Platform Runtime Binary" to create an Eclipse IDE instance with all the plug-ins I like and it produces an installation with "eclipse.exe" as the executable.

The name comes from the product definition, which is normally in a .product file. That product definition is published into a p2 repository. For example, the `org.eclipse.sdk.ide` is the "Eclipse Classic" ID.
