Hello,

I created a workspace.
When I tried to open a C file which is out side workspace using File->Open from context menu, outline was not visible.
IDE does not recognize this as C file.

Could you please help me in resolving this problem?

Steps to reproduce.

1. Create a fresh workspace.
2. Launch eclipse with this workspace.
3. Use File->Open to open a C file in editor.

Outline is not visible, but syntax coloring is proper.
As soon as we create a C/C++ project in the same workspace and perform the steps mentioned above, we do not see the problem. Outline shows fine.

I do not see the same behavior for java files. Outline shows fine for that in all cases.

Is this a known issue?
How to resolve this?
