Good afternoon, we are working in an electronic design tool that use Sirius in order to create diagrams. We defined our metamodels and viewpoints but we have actualy some requiriments that we do not know how to include in our solution.
First of all we want to put the label of all the border nodes always in the border east position or west as shown in the figure 1. But for default we only can choose between node or border position.

On the other hand we want to create a node from the palette specifying the width and height, but despite the image is small the height and width by default is to big. We have to adjust the dimensions manually. In the next image we show the default behavior on the left and the expected behavior on the right. It is show in figure2.

Hi,

To have a node created with the image size, you have to specify "-1" as Size Computation Expression in the advanced tab in the Worskpace image properties view.
About the label location, it is currently not possible to specify its side in the same way than the border nodes. This would ask an enhancement in Sirius, probably by overriding the org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.diagram.ui.figures.LabelLocator. You can also develop your own layout algorithm but there is currently no simple solution (see https://www.eclipse.org/sirius/doc/developer/extensions-provide_custom-arrange-all.html).

Thank you for your answer, I did what you said about the image size and it works!.
I'm going to see what can I archive with the label location.
Thank you for your answer!
