Dear Sir,

I am trying to implement OPC UA with client on 4DIAC and server on OpenModelica(OM).

On OpenModelica:
./filename -rt=1.0 -embeddedServer=opc-ua creates a server named as opc.tcp://manas:4841.

On 4DIAC i have a client implemented which can read a value (let's say X) from OM and can also write value to it. PFA for the screenshot of the 4DIAC implementation. But the connection is not somewhat possible. Please guide which method to follow that is described on this documentation page.

https://www.eclipse.org/4diac/en_help.php?helppage=html/communication/opc_ua.html

Regards,
Manas

Hi,

as the error message shows the problem is that the data inputs SD_1 and SD_2 are not connected to any other FB. Therefore the 4diac FORTE code does not know which data types you would like to connect to. However please be a ware that the CLIENT FB will assume that on the server side a OPC UA Method is available and will be called. For reading and writing values you need to go a little further down in the documentation.

BR,
Alois
