Environment Eclipse 2018-12 (modeling tools)- Java 10 - Windows 10:
Acceleo is not visible on market place for download. However, when I installed it through 'Install New Software' Menu, then examples are not installed. Question:- how to install examples. Hopefully, installed Acceleo 3.7.7 will be compatible with this environment ! Guidance please

Hi

I much prefer downloading and installing the full project ZIPs. (Never use the Marketplace for Eclipse Simultaneous Release components; the Marketplace does not instyall prerequisites automatocally.)

Unfortunately https://www.eclipse.org/acceleo/downloads/ is a 404, so I don't know what to recommend. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=544055 raised.

Doh! Not thinking. You can fetch code from code https://git.eclipse.org/r/acceleo/org.eclipse.acceleo

or try installing from the Acce;eo-specific repo: http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/m2t/acceleo/updates/releases but that seems to be stale - nothing since 3.4.1 in 2013. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=544056 raised.

GIT seems your only official option for now.

I've found a 3.7.3 ZIP on my computer. You may access it for a few days from https://www.dropbox.com/s/xzicufryar5m8no/acceleo-update-3.7.3.zip?dl=0 It doesn't seem to install directly. Try downloading it to your disk then installing from your local copy.

Hi

Fixing https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=543026 introduced me to some more Acceleo locations.

A 3.7.7 release with a fix for Bug 543026 is available from

https://ci.eclipse.org/acceleo/job/master-gerrit/1346/PLATFORM=platform-photon,jdk=jdk1.8.0-latest/artifact/releng/org.eclipse.acceleo-updatesite/target/org.eclipse.acceleo-3.7.7.201902081132.zip

Hello,

The Acceleo download page can be found through the acceleo website. As identified by Ed through bug 543026, the current latest is not compatible with 2018-12 because of EMF changes. The patch has been pushed to master and will be available in 2019-12.
