Hi folks,

what I want is:

1. Placing predefined stereotypes on a BDD, using the palette. This can be done by customizing the palette.
2. Connect two stereotypes with a connector stereotype. However, the placement of the connector stereotype shall be constraint to predefined stereotypes.

Is it possible to realized the 2. step by customizing the palette? If not, how can it be realized?

Best Regards,

I don't think that you can realize this via a palette customization. However, you could define an element type for the stereotyped connector. This element type can be linked with an advice programmed in Java that checks whether it can be applied by implementing the method "approveCreateRelationshipRequest". You can find an example of doing this in the UCM customization of Papyrus which is part of Papyrus designer. Have a look at class ConnectionLinkEditHelperAdvice in plugin oep.designer.ucm.core (in folder plugins/ucm, git repo
