My eclipse got updated recently from Oxygen to Photon and now debug is not working. When ever i try to debug following error is shown

Error in final launch sequence:

Failed to execute MI command:
-exec-run
Error message from debugger back end:
Warning:\nCannot insert breakpoint 1.\nCannot access memory at address 0x0\n
Failed to execute MI command:

I am using Arch Linux-Manjaro
Eclipse version details.
Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers
Version: Photon Release (4.8.0)
Build id: 20180619-1200

Are you able to debug with GDB on the command line? Did you try to disable all breakpoints and "stop at main" in the debug configuration?

2 years later I have the same issue...
