Hover harassment [message #1795464] Sun, 23 September 2018 11:05

Is there anyway to turn off hovers? Just turn them off completely? I don't need them most of the time and they are blocking my view of my code.

If you uncheck them that makes them pop up with a 1 second delay. Why would making it clear that you DID NOT want something mean that it should appear constantly?

I've set the hovers to go away when the cursor hits them - at least I can do that. But I don't want to waste a control key for each of these useless hovers that I don't want anyway. Is there not a way to TURN THEM OFF? And why wouldn't they give control over the delay to come up?? 1 second??? Any third grader would know you don't pop up tooltips with a 1 second delay. What makes it OK to pop up hovers every second?

I have used the eclipse IDE for many years and have more and more been finding the interface subtly torturous. I just got the latest version - just as bad as ever.

Really thinking that I've had enough of eclipse.
