I have installed Vivado 2018.2 with Eclipse as SDK. Since some time Eclipse disappears or even crashes when i try to change something in the project. Sometimes it works, sometimes Eclipse disappears ( i have to close it with taskmanager ) and in most cases it simply crashes without warning.
Can anyone help me in this forum to find the root problem of this, because Xilinx doesn't help.
After a crash, when i start Eclipse, it comes up with the message:
"Plug-in org.eclipse.cdt.ui was unable to load class org.eclipse.cdt.internal.ui.editor.CEditor."
Then i have to make a restart, and in most cases i can continue withe my work.

Thanks in advance...

The log file might better indicate why it can't load that class. https://wiki.eclipse.org/IRC_FAQ#Where_are_Eclipse.27s_log_files_located.3F

One additional information: When Eclipse crashes ( disappears ) there is no message in the log file !
In the appended logfile i
1.) start SDK ( Eclipse ) with Workspace ( project7)
2.) add a project -> crash without message ( 1.log)
3.) start SDK. -> Following message comes up :
Plug-in org.eclipse.cdt.ui was unable to load class org.eclipse.cdt.internal.ui.editor.CEditor. ( 2.log)
4.) Menu restart -> now is working ....

I have sent a log file one month ago, and i would like to ask if you found a solution for this problem.
I don't know what's happening, but i can see that Eclipse has a massive problem here,
and when you look into the Xiliinx Forum you can see that a lot of people have problems here with crashes of Eclipse. And it's getting worth with Win10 and the updates...... Xilinx argues that they never saw this problem...
Eclipse is producing megabytes of logfiles, and the end is that no one can interpret this ? For what are these logfiles ?

Maybe this logfile is interesting for you. Over 150kB of Exceptions
like below, onyl from starting SDK !

!ENTRY org.eclipse.cdt.core 4 0 2018-10-18 10:29:14.432
!MESSAGE Error
!STACK 0
java.lang.NullPointerException

I'm wondering that i can work with this Eclipse, even it always crashes when
adding or removing files from project
