This is working as I expect when I type into the field, but if I paste
some text into the field (either Ctrl-V or with the mouse),
auto-activation is not triggered. Looks like the "watchModify" flag is
not getting set.

Is this by design or a defect? Or is there something else I'm not doing
to configure support for this?
