Hello,
first, i am not sure, if i am writing to the right list here, so please
correct me, if i am not :-)
I have a big problem with my eclipse installation. It does not matter
what i want to do using the "Software updates..." utility for my
Ganymede installation, it always refuses to do some work
(update/uninstall/single or several features) because of the following:
Cannot complete the request. See the details.
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements
Match[requiredCapability:
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/org.eclipse.jst.enterprise_core.fe ature.feature.jar/[3.0.3.v200810010400-42E_4_kE77c_FAP7X99,3 .0.3.v200810010400-42E_4_kE77c_FAP7X99]].
I am not sure, what is causing this unsatisfied dependecy, let alone how
to "satisfy" it. Is there any chance i can repair my eclipse without
complete reinstall?

You could try installing version 3.0.3 of the web tools stuff. Open Help
> Software Updates... and on the Available Software tab, look for the
Web Tools (WTP) update site. Expand that and find the 3.0.3 version. The
feature you want is Java EE Developer Tools, I think.
Hope this helps,
Eric

Hi,
i think i tried that before, but i tried it again. The problem persists.
I tried to install everything of Version 3.0.3 of the WTP category and
also the Patch features. Nothing will work. I strongly believe that my
configuration is somehow screwed up...

You might try the eclipse.technology.equinox newsgroup; I think the p2
team hangs out there more.
If all else fails, enter a bug report with as much information as you can.
