On the left side of the editor "window pane" there are "TASK " icons.
// TODO is one of the defaults - see attached file.
I can add custom task , but I have not figured out HOW to associate an icon with the task.
Without the icon the feature is not that useful.
Running Oxygen

I'm not sure why you put your image into a .pdf file rather than attach it directly, but that seems to just require you set up the markerAnnotationSpecification extension point for your marker.
