I just downloaded 3.5M4 and tried to use P2 to install new software, however
it reported that it couldn't find the update sites.
I have to go through a proxy, so I checked the proxy settings under General
/ Network Connections.
Native was selected but nothing showed in the 2 tables. When I checked the
proxy settings in IE it was configured to automatically detect the settings.
I changed it to manually specify the settings and now the preferences page
showed the settings.
However P2 still reports that the update sites could not be found. If I type
the URL for the ganymede update site into IE then the XML file listing the
features is displayed.
The proxy requires authentication, but the preferences page shows the
authentication setting as false. Is this the cause of the failure to find
the sites?
