Hi every body
currently i have eclipse Mars and Eclipse JUNO installed on my windows 10-x64 pc and this ides runs properly without any problem.

recently i decide to change to the eclipse Oxygen for java se development
but when i try to open Eclipse Oxygen i faced with this error :

Error : Could not create the Java Virtual Machine
Error : a fatal exception has occured. Program will exit.

Its weird because the Mars and JUNO versions runs properly but this new Oxygen version dont !!!

Why is this for ?
Thanks in advance

Please tell us the exact version of Java that you use to launch Eclipse.
When you say Oxygen, is that Oxygen.2?

Hi

Java has started advancing version quite rapidly, and Eclipse is chasing them.

I suspect that you are using a too-old version of Java. I recommend moving to at least Java 8.
