Hi. I want to build and debug an Autotools project on a headless Linux from a Windows host.
Here: https://help.eclipse.org/kepler/topic/org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.doc.user/html/gettingstarted/creating_a_remote_project.html?cp=53_1_4

it says to create a "Remote C/C++ Project", but this option is missing.
I tried to download a fresh Eclipse Neon package (both CDT and PDP). I also tried to install PDP components on CDT and also some optional CDT components, but the menu item didn't appear.

Installation details attached.

Could it be that RDT is obsolete? There are too many dead links on Eclipse site to download the rdt server tar.
