Hey Everybody, I am working on a report where the user input will be two values, user ID and Badge Number, both strings. The issue I have is that users have barcodes with this information and would like to simply scan their barcodes to enter this information. When they scan in their barcode into something like notepad, it comes in as:
user ID
Badge Number

With a hard return in between. When attempting to scan this into BIRT, it will only input the first line, user ID, into the first parameter field.

Is there any way to either create a multiline parameter which will accept the hard return, and then I can do scripting to separate the two values? Or to input the first value in the user ID parameter, and the badge number in the second parameter?

Any help would be much appreciated! Even if its just to say its not possible, so I am not wasting my time beating my head against the wall on this.
