The modbus library [message #1782943] Mon, 05 March 2018 08:50 Go to next message

Hii guys,
I wanted to run the modbus example in this link:
https://github.com/eclipse/kura/blob/KURA_3.1.0_RELEASE/kura/examples/org.eclipse.kura.demo.modbus/src/main/java/org/eclipse/kura/demo/modbus/ModbusExample.java

but I had the error that the
org.eclipse.kura.protocol.modbus cannot be resolved

The modbus is no longer supported or do I need to install an external library ??

Please help me

PS: I am using Kura 3.1.1

Hi,
as the message said, you need to install the org.eclipse.kura.protocol.modbus implementation whose code can be found here: https://github.com/eclipse/kura/tree/develop/kura/org.eclipse.kura.protocol.modbus

Best regards,
Matteo

Hi,
I believe that the bundles seem to be correct, but the first lines of the log you posted show an error with the component. Maybe solving that makes your bundle work.

Best regards,
Matteo

Dear Matteo,

Thank you very much for your help and support.
I solved the first log problem, it was duplicated component build, so I had to edit the build file.
However the application still didn't appear in Kura Web Interface.
The only exception left is the MQTT one.
Can you please check the log file and help me to detect what's wrong ?

I really appreciate your time and help.

Kindest regards
Ahmed

What do you see accessing the OSGi console? what is the result of the "ss" and "ls" commands?

Best regards,
Matteo
