When I make a change to a previously saved file, I build and then save. The changes stay on the editor, but the old code runs instead of the newly modified code. For some reason the original file is not being overwritten.

I assume I have a setting improperly checked, but do not know where to look.

Appreciate some help.

Check the error log; some editors refuse to save bad content.

Check that you have Project->Build Automatically selected.

Check that Window->Preferences->Run/Debug->Launching "saved required dirty editors" is not "Never"

Check that Window->Preferences->Run/Debug->Launching "build if required before launching" is not deselected

And of course if all else fails, restart Eclipse and see if the problem just goes away. IIRC I think that GIT and a Compare Editor can get themselves into a mess.
