How to make eclipse helios 32 bit run into 64 bit jdk and windows [message #1780265] Fri, 19 January 2018 07:21 Go to next message

Hello everybody,

I have got this message error when I try to open the eclipse helios and eclipse force to close:

"Failed to load the jni shared library jvm.dll"

I already made a lot of search and every one says the same thing. You need to get an eclipse 64 bit version. But the thing is in the current scenario I an unable to get the 64 bit version. So I would like to know if it is possible I change the configurations on class path on eclipse.ini and etc to somehow make the eclipse open.

Thank you very much.

No. You can't load 32-bit libraries (Eclipse's SWT's native parts) into a 64-bit process (the JVM). This is neither unique to the JVM nor Eclipse. Can you get a compatible 32-bit JRE if you can't switch to a 64-bit Eclipse?
