Menu not clickable in RCP application [message #1775673]

When the RCP application is opened under macOS Sierra (10.12.5) the menus at the top of the screen won't open. Switching to another application and then back to the IDE will fix the problem, however. Any hints would be appreciated.

Perhaps it's related to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=520176 although that involves the menu being disabled...
