I hope this isn't an FAQ. I need a scanner in my project and use LEX to generate it.

Now I'm looking for two things:

1. How can I tell Eclipse to call "LEX" to compile the .l file?
2. I want the generated .c file to be part of my project although it should be understood as read-only as its contents are generated by "LEX". In particular, I want it to to be part of the compile and link task.

Best regards,

Probably best to use your own makefile
however you can try running Lex as a prebuild step with a Managed Build.
