I have a projectX that depends on Project Y. ProjectY is a C/C++ suite that generates a library that projectX references makefiles (autotools).

Building/compiling work fine.

Whenever I update and reinstall the ProjectY library, projectX doesn't pickup up the changes automatically, even after restart. I have to go to Index-> Freshen All Files, which takes awhile.

Is there some way to make this work automatically or at least faster?

I'm running on RHEL 7.4 with Oxygen 4.7. I imported the project as an autotools project. ProjectY's libraries get installed via RPM to system locations and uses package config.

Thanks!
